New Coworker New Coworker

Well. It certainly helps the creative juices when your day-in, day-out unchanging drudgework keeps dishing up things that couldn’t possibly happen elsewhere. Otherwise, the unabating awesomeness of leaving the house while it’s still dark and getting back when it’s dark again in the summery days of maximum daylight leaves me with little time to write about much of anything. This has been going on for more than a year now.

Any writing I’ve been doing has been super-concentrated — little ultra-rich haiku-like nuggets dropped here and there like the throwaways they are, parapoetic distillations suitable for methods of broadcast subject to severe character limits. Future editors will love me while future agents remind me that venues for poetry dried up decades ago. Someone with a spare minute please phone the future and tell them I already know.

How are you?
